Took some iteams into sell as i needed money to get back to work after an illness. I was paid £60 in cash and a further £116 was bank transfer. I was told i would receive i phone call at an estimated time of 1430hrs the same day Sunday 3rd May 2026 to discuss the iteams after testing. Payment is made withing 30 minutes of order process in store. I have not received any phone call or email from the team. There is no phone number to call the store directly so i filled out a form and emailed customer service i sent a message on facebook. I still have not received my payment . This store is an absolute JOKE .

Was in the Clydebank branch today (4th May 2026) and bought a couple games. I’d like to start off by saying that my own experience was perfectly fine, boy that served me (long hair glasses) was polite and friendly, no hassle. What irked me was the way that (what I presume was) the manager spoke to staff in front of customers, and in some instances, to customers (lassie with blue hair with a Ghost tank top on). I fully get that sometimes the clientele that frequent CeX can often be unpleasant, but during my visit, there was absolutely no one causing any issues. Another co-worker (tall boy, glasses with beige jumper) was serving a wee boy in front of me was looking for a phone repair. He was a lovely guy and doing his best to help even though it was a service they don’t provide for phones not purchased from CeX. I’d like to commend that he was incredibly nice, professional and came across knowledgeable. When the wee boy walked away, the co-worker was talking to the girl about how this wee boy was one of his favourite customers and started telling stories about him (which is nice to hear). The girl (blue hair, ghost tank top) cut him off and was incredibly rude to tell him to continue working instead of telling stories. Managers like this make workplaces a nightmare to work at, whilst co-workers like this are usually a credit to a work place. She was also rude towards customers because of the way they queued because they didn’t follow the signage on the floor - the signage not being very clear (despite the shop being relatively quiet, I fail to see how it was problematic). Spoke to people in the queue like they were children. I’ve personally worked with managers with these kinds of attitudes and they are hell to work under, often bullies that drive people away from workplaces. They should reevaluate their attitude and see it from an outside perspective about how it comes across to people.

Extremely rude staff member (ginger hair dyed blue) here how shouts at customers for no reason and heard being very rude to a customer returning something politely. You could tell other staff embarrassed by her behaviours.
